Home Nurse Services WA
Who are they and how can they help me?

Nurse Practitioners are highly experienced registered nurses who have undertaken additional university study (Masters degree) and extensive clinical training in their field of expertise.

This qualifies them to deliver care beyond the traditional nursing role. Nurse Practitioners are able to:

  • Diagnose and treat patients
  • Make referrals
  • Prescribe medication
  • Order pathology test and X-rays.

Nurse Practitioners can consult and liaise with other healthcare professionals including GPs, medical and surgical specialists, other nurses, dietician, occupational therapists, social workers and many others, to ensure a coordinated approach to your healthcare.
