The position works over 4.5 days and is supported by a multidisciplinary team including a visiting GP once a week and resident physiotherapist and podiatrist. Our Nurse practitioners work within a community pharmacy setting, consulting with patients in a private well equipped room and working collaboratively with the  pharmacists and pharmacy staff to achieve positive health outcomes. It is a friendly and dynamic work space with professional and highly experienced staff as part of the team. The pharmacy is an award winning practice:  2013 Pharmacy of the Year for innovation in professional services. The work is as varied as the pharmacy practice itself and covers many areas such as managing the physical health of patients with mental health issues, Travel Health, Primary Care, Flu and other vaccinations programs, Pathology collection on site,  as well as working in with the pharmacists as needed. The position is for permanent part time work, probably two days a week. remuneration will be by negotiation , but will be at current market rates. The conditions of employment will be as set out in the Nurses Award 2010. We will provided training for any areas of the job that you feel you may need to brush up. A start date of  mid  November 2018 is what we are aiming for.

Expanded service model – pharmacy, child care centres, aged care and corporate clients Tell us your availability and we’ll endeavour to accommodate The role Apotex has been delivering flu vaccinations in community pharmacies under the APO-Wellness Program  for over 10 years ago and we have achieved many goals in shaping community pharmacies as health care destinations nationally. Planning has commenced for the 2019 flu vaccination season and we are seeking expressions of interest from Nurse Practitioners to work with us in delivering the service in community pharmacy, child care centres, aged care facilities and corporate companies Australia-wide.    As a Nurse Practitioner working with us you will be responsible for running the vaccination clinics plus set up and pack up time. Clinics run between 2-6 hours depending on the size of the site. If you have a 2 hour clinic we try to match it with another clinic in the area to give you a full day’s work. Within one working day you may be required to go to a maximum of 3 sites.    The team at Apotex does our best to choose sites that are close to your home location however it is likely there will be some travel involved. As part of the consultation with each patient you will complete straight forward administration via our booking system.  You will receive an attractive hourly rate plus super, travel time and mileage.  Your profile You are an AHPRA endorsed Nurse Practitioner with Immunisation (from age 2 and up) in your Scope of Practice. You are a confident vaccinator with the ability to make people feel comfortable in a short period of time.  You are motivated by working with the community to improve health awareness and positive health outcomes.  You will have a current CPR certificate and anaphylaxis management skills. You will have a full and valid Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance. You are comfortable visiting different locations for the delivery of the clinics and you are reliable.
